Castleford drugs arrest

On Monday 26th January 2026 PC 841 Shaw and PC 3792 Curran were on patrol on Fulford street, Castleford. Their attention was drawn to a number of individuals loitering in a ginnel. The three persons were stopped and searched. One adult female was found to be in possession of a class C drug and issued an out of court disposal. The drugs were seized.

On the same evening PC 4967 Skidmore and PC 3819 Matthews responded to a call for service at the civic centre on ferrybridge road. A male and female were located within the gated compound and searched. The adult male was arrested for possessing with the intent to supply class a drugs and possession of an offensive weapon after being found in possession of these items. He has was subsequently charged to court for possession of class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon.
